Required Documents for Hungary Commercial Visa

If you send the necessary documents for commercial visa by cargo to our Istanbul office, we will initiate your Hungary Visa Application process on your behalf. For Hungary, fingerprint scanning is done at the application center in Istanbul.

Attention to persons who apply for a visa for Portugal, Norway, Slovenia from Istanbul!
The Consulate of Hungary also accepts visa applications for Portugal, Norway and Slovenia from Istanbul. The visa that will be taken will be Hungary, not Portugal, Norway, Slovenia. However, the application for a commercial visa must be addressed to the consulate of the country to which it will be traveling.

Euroasia GVS Schengen department will contact you to learn your vocational status and your travel purpose. Hungary visa applications are finalized on average 2 days before the planned date of travel.  Because of the intensity of the Consulate of Hungary, we recommend that you apply for a visa 30 days before your travel date.

If you have received a Schengen visa with a VIS statement after 25 September 2014, if you have a current fingerprint registered in the system, you can start your visa application process by sending your documents to our nearest office without having to give your fingerprint. Our operations officers will accompany you in the process of giving fingerprints in order to avoid any problems in applications made from Istanbul.

The Hungary commercial visa is a Schengen visa. The Schengen visa entitles you to stay in that area for a maximum of 90 days every 6 months. On the following page, you can find the documents according to your personal and vocational situation in order to obtain a commercial visa to Hungary.

Required Documents for Hungary Commercial Visa

Don't forget to mention your special circumstances, subsequent travels and intermediate flights in company letters and petitions that you have to submit for commercial visa applications. Providing proof of your travel history (declaration of visas issued in the last 3 years and old passports) increases your chances of obtaining a long term visa to Hungary. The Consulate of Hungary is able to issue a long term stay visa based on the number of previous visas you have already received.

The Hungary Consulate will confirm your visa if Hungary is the first point of your trip. Once your Schengen visa is approved, your first country of entry should be Hungary. Once you have made your first entry to Hungary, you will be entitled to travel to other Schengen areas.

1) Standard Documents

• Invitation

An invitation from the commercial company operating in Hungary, which includes the date, reason, company address and phone number of the visit, stamped with the name of the company and full name of the official, must be submitted. The Hungary Consulate accepts photocopies of invitations, invitations provided by e-mail or fax. Invitations sent by the company must include the name, surname, company address, telephone number and e-mail address of the signatory.

An invitation letter from the Hungary organizations showing the event or membership information or a declaration of attendance must be submitted if the exhibition is to be held. The invitation sould signed and stamped on the letterhead of the sending company.

• Passport

First, you must have a passport valid for at least 3 months after your return. This passport must have at least 2 blank pages for visa processing. Your passport mustn't be older than 10 years. For foreigners, legal residence permit is required for a further 2 months after travel. You must declare the original passport when applying for a visa to the Hungary Consulate. You must include the photocopy of your passport with your identity information in the documents you have prepared. All visa pages processed in your passport must also be photocopied.

In case of changes in your identity such as marriage, divorce or change of name, you should make sure that the information in the passport and your identity are the same. In case of discrepancy in information, your application won't be accepted.

• Application form

You must make sure that the forms you fill in for your Hungary commercial visa application are filled with complete and fair information. Article 37 and the signature section on the last page must be signed. Article 17 must include your home address and your email address, the mobile phone number provided must be the visa applicant's. The Hungary Consulate may request additional documents from you. Therefore, it is important that your mobile phone number is written correctly and belongs to the applicant. Hungary visa application form can be filled out and printed out with blue and black pen or in computer. In case the applicant is under the age of 18, the guardian or parent of the child may sign under the completed form.

• Biometric Photo

You should submit two photographs which are suitable for biometric conditions, the background is white and the face is clearly visible.

• Bank account statement

There should be a bank statement showing the account movements in the last 3 months and must be received no more than 1 week before the Hungary visa application date. The bank statement must be signed and stamped by the official. The applicant's account must be at least 5,000 TL for your business visits.

• Documents on Travel Expenses

You must provide documentation that you are able to cover your travels to Hungary and other Schengen countries. If someone else finances your travel expenses, you must prove it with documents. The sponsor should write a petition explaining this clearly and submit the work and income documents and bank statement to the Consulate of Hungary.

• Copy of ID Card

It is required to the ID Card's photocopy which has Republic of Turkey's identification number printed on it. (not required for applications made from Ankara.)

• Fully Accurate Population Registration Example

A sample of all family information with barcodes can be obtained from the e-government website (required for Ankara applications).

2) Professional Documents

For Employees

• Payroll

It must be signed by the company officials, belonging to the last 3 months and stamped.

• SGK Declaration of Employment

It should be given by the employer as current and barcoded.

• SGK 4A Service Statement

It should be taken from SSI Directorates. You should make sure that the documents you receive are barcoded.

• Company Documents (documents must be dated)
• Activity certificate, (to be obtained within the last 6 months) 

Trade registry which the company title and partners are clearly stated

• Current tax plate

Signatured declaration of the person authorized by the company official or the person authorized by the company official

• Employer Permission Letter

This is the signed and stamped permission letter from the company where the applicant works, printed on letterhead. This document should clearly state the purpose of the travel and the time that the employee will be on leave, together with the travel dates. The language of the application may be English, Turkish and Hungarian.
For Employers

• Payroll

The salary slip showing the last 3 months must be submitted by the company authorities.

• SGK 4B Service Statement

You can get your insurance service statement from the SSI Directorates and with your password, e-government website. Make sure your insurance service statement is barcoded.

• Company Documents
• Company owners; registration in the company's chamber of commerce
• Copy of the Trade Registry,
• Tax plate and signature circular

Retirees

You can get your retiring certificate with your e-government password. Alternatively, you can submit a certified document of your bank account where your retirement salary is processed.

Farmers

You must obtain a certificate of farming from the registered chamber of agriculture, if any, the title deed and vehicle licenses and the information of the animals registered with you must be declared together with the certificate of farming.

Freelance employees

Freelance employees can get a letter from their company, contract if necessary or offer a portfolio. It must prove the income statement and the projects it participates in. If the freelance employee is paid insurance, he / she must get SSI signed or barcoded statement from the e-government site.

Lawyer, Doctor, Engineer, Pharmacist, Foundation University Staff

If there are chambers you are connected to, you should present your work ID cards and income documents along with the letter to be taken from there.

3) Additional Services

• Departuring And Return Transportation Reservations

You must have reservations or proof of purchase (bus, plane, train tickets) for your preferred means of transport. If you are planning to travel to more than one country, you must write a petition explaining all the intermediate passes and submit the transportation documents to be used in these passes with your petition. Applicants planning a trip with their own vehicle must include vehicle insurance, green insurance and driving license. If the owner of the vehicle and the person to be traveling aren't the same, a notary power of attorney should be obtained from the vehicle owner, stating that the usage rights belong to the traveling passenger.

• Accommodation Reservations

Your travel plan must be booked without any missing days. If you plan to travel to more than one country, you must have booked your accommodation so that there shouldn’t any empty days during your trip. Accommodation reservations must include the name of the traveling applicant. Again, if you request accommodation reservations are made on your behalf.

• Travel health insurance

When traveling to Schengen countries, you will need to have a guaranteed travel health insurance of 30,000 euro covering the minimum expected residence time.

Hungary commercial visa applications are finalized 2 days before your travel date if your documents are complete. This period is valid for Hungary Schengen visas. This time for the foreign people living in Turkey can be longer. This period may change depending on the intensity of the Consulate of Hungary. If you intend to move to other countries on your planned trip, you must clearly state this in a petition. In your petition, you should include your preferred transportation documents in your file during your intermediate journey. If the applicant has less than 15 days to travel, visa applications may not be accepted except in exceptional cases. The only competent authority for the completion of the Hungary commercial visa is the Consulate of Hungary. Attention to Hungary Visa Applicants from Ankara

• Applicants from Ankara are required to include a sample of a fully accurate population registration. The Sample of Fully Accurate Population Registration is a mandatory document.
• Photocopy of ID Card isn't a compulsory document for the applicants from Ankara.

WARNINGS

• Because of the workload by the official holidays in Turkey and Hungary (Feast of Ramadan, Festival of Sacrifice, Christmas and Easter), we advice you to apply to Hungary Consulate before 30 days then your travel date.
• The period of validity of passports will use in Hungary Schengen visa applications of must be at least 90 days for Turkish citizens.
• In particular the Republic of Turkey (Green), Service (Gray), diplomatic (Red / Black) passport holders who are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days.
• For your visa applications for Hungary, the Consulate of Hungary requests the hotel flight reservation.
• All of the documents you will declare for commercial visa applications must in  A4 size.
• You can apply directly to the Embassy of Hungary in Ankara. However, the processing time can be long.
