Attending or Opening a Fair in Germany

Dear Visitors, Germany welcomes thousands of  Republic of Turkey's citizens which is traveling to the country for various reasons every year. One of these reasons is business trips to commercial fairs or to open stands. If you are traveling to Germany to participate in the fair, to open a fair stand in Germany and to participate in the fair as a visitor, you can complete your visa application through our visa service. Exhibition participation and exhibition opening are considered within the Schengen visa category. The German Consulate may exempt business people who will open a trade fair stand in Germany in some cases from 60 euros fee. How to Apply for a Fair in Germany?

In order to participate in a commercial fair or to open a stand in a fair in Germany, first you must meet the conditions for applying a commercial visa. The first condition for applying for a German commercial fair visa is that the person declares and documents that he or she will attend in the trade fair. On the following page you will find detailed documents for the German fair visa. If you are applying for a German commercial fair visa, you will need to present your commercial fair entry or exhibitor card. It is important that your Germany Schengen visa application is completed in full for your visa application. To submit the required documents correctly for the type of visa appropriate for your travel purpose will increase your application being accepted. Please note that each visa you receive for your Schengen visa application will be a positive reference for your next Schengen visa application, and that the Schengen Consulates considers the applicant's travel history.

Required Documents for the Fair Visa

For the visa application you will make for business trip or attending a fair in Germany, the documents listed below should be submitted in full if possible.

Germany Schengen Visa Application Form

Passport: A valid passport for a Schengen visa application must be current for at least 3 months after the expiration date of the requested visa. The passport must have two blank pages at least and must provided in the last 10 years. Extension statements in the passport aren't accept. The situations are exacly same for the foreign people with residence permit cards in Turkey.

If you have, previous photocopies of old visas: Schengen, European Union countries, UK, USA, Canada ...)

Biometric photograph: The biometric photograph shouldn't be older than 6 months and should in 35 x 45 size.

Travel health insurance: It must covers all your travel time in the Schengen area and have at least EUR 30,000 guarantee.

Transportation reservations: Booking documents for  flight reservations or for the other transportation

Invitation: The original invitations to be obtained from the company operating in Germany can be presented as well as the documents provided by e-mail or fax. The name of the inviting company, the required visa period, the purpose of the trip, the duration of the trip, and the scope of the event should be indicated in the invitation. Company name must be specified in the invitation document. The complete address of the inviting company must be included in the document in fully. The name of the applicant, applicant's duty in the company and the name of the company applicant works for are among the information that should  included in the invitation document. If the transportation and accommodation expenses are to be covered by the host company, the letter stating that the expenses will be covered should also be submitted together with the invitation.

Statement of Bank passbook and Account : The applicant must prove that he or she is financially competent to cover his or her expenses for the planned travel time. Awet signed original bank passbook and account statements should include with at least 5.000 TL balance.

Exhibitor card (for who will open a stand in fair): Consular fees won't be charged if the exhibitor card is presented.

Business Letter: The connected company in Turkey must supplied to the business letter the contain following information.

  1. The applicant's title in the company
  2. Purpose, destination and duration of the trip
  3. Guarantee document that travel expenses will be covered by the company
  4. Entrance and service statement with SGK

In addition to Company Owners;

  • Registration of the Chamber of Commerce or Industry: The document mustn't be older than 6 months.
  • Copy of Trade Registry Gazette
  •  Plate of Tax 

In addition to farmers;

Farming Certificate from the Chamber of Agriculture

Visa For Attending To A Fair in Germany

The duration of the visa applications for the purposes of business travel in Germany, participating in the fair and opening a stand in the fair will be completed within 15 working days after the date of appointment when the fingerprint statement is made. For this reason, it is important that the application is forwarded to our visa service at least 15 days before your trip. You can apply for a German business travel visa at least three months before your trip. Before the Festival of Sacrifice, Ramadan Feast and the Germany's religious holidays that the Easter and Christmas holidays, the processing time may be extended. For your business trip and fair visit to Germany, it is enough  to prepare your visa application to our office by completing the documents on our page for visa application. In case of necessary, the German Consulate may request additional documents.

Attention For Germany Commercial Schengen Visa Application!

Because of to the procedure introduced on 25th September 2014, you will need to issue a fingerprint if you are applying for a Schengen visa for the first time. The fingerprint you provide will be valid for 5 years. Since 25th September 2014, Schengen visa applications have taken fingerprint data from applicants over 12 years of age. For this reason, if you don't have a Schengen visa which is taken in the last 5 years, you will need to present in person at the application department on the day and time of your appointment. Please note that if you are going to travel to other countries outside of Germany in the Schengen area, you must apply for a visa from the diplomatic representation of the country where you will be staying for the longest time.

The authorizing areas of The German Embassy in Ankara, the German General Consulate  in Istanbul, the German General Consulate  in Izmir and the German Consulate in Antalya are different from each other. For your travels to Germany, you must make your visa application to the consulate according to your region of residence. 2022's Visa Fee for Attending a Fair in Germany 

The German Consulate may exempt you from the consular fee of 60 euros if you will participate in Germany in 2022 to open a stand at the fair and if you have a fair exhibitor card. In this case, you can complete your visa application only by paying the service fee of the intermediary institution where the fingerprint statement is made and the coordination fee of our visa service.
