Transit visa is a type of temporary visa that is required from the citizens of some countries by the country to be transferred to international travels. You will need to provide a transit visa if you are transferring to the country of destination from a third country. Turkey citizens when traveling to a not schengen country with departing from Germany in the international transit area of the airport can transfer with taking transit visa type. A type transit visa is only valid in Frankfurt / Main and Munich Airports and at certain times at Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Cologne-Bonn and Berlin-Tegel Airports. Official passport holders on Republic of Turkey are exempt from the A type transit visa. Public Ordinary (Bordeaux) passport holders which is travel to another Schengen country by Germany dont need to get a transit visa for citizens of the Republic of Turkey. The other countries that are subject to transit visa outside of Turkey are as follows; Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Eritrea, Ghana, India, Iran, Iraq, Jordan (with exceptions), Democratic Republic of the Congo, Lebanon, Mali, Myanmar, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria.
In order to travel to a third country, if you need to make a transfer at Germany airport, you shouldn't go outside the international transit area and pass the passport control.
You can fly to Frankfurt / Main and Munich airports without leaving the transit area. It is possible at certain times at certain airports in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Cologne Bonn and Berlin Tegel. Citizens of the following countries who will transit through Germany are required to obtain an airport transit visa. Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Eritrea, Ghana, India, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Mali, Myanmar, Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Syria, Somalia, Sudan and Turkey citizens of the airport are subject to transit visa procedure. The Public (Bordeaux) Passport holder Turkish citizens are exempt from transit visa procedure.
Travel and accommodation reservations for your real travel country
Transfer details should be included in the reservation document for your flight reservations. You need to provide particularly detailed information about your journey. Terminal changes at the same airport must be confirmed by the airline. If you transferred with passing the passport control, the transit visa is sufficient.
You must provide a visa or residence permit for the country you really go and a copy of the passport page with this authorization or other documents indicating that you have the right to enter the country of destination.
You must prove that you have an established residency in your country of residence.
If you need to leave the international transit area because of to a change of terminal and pass passport control, you will need a Schengen visa.
Holders of diplomatic, service and official passports
If you have a valid visa or have a residence permit for any Schengen country or United Kingdom (UK), Bulgaria, Ireland, Croatia, Romania or Cyprus
If you have a valid visa or residence permit for Canada, Japan, and the United States, which guarantees that you will unconditionally accept the passport holder back
If you have valid residence permit for Andorra or San Marino, which guarantees unconditional acceptance of the passport holder (visa is not sufficient), there is an exemption from the transit transit airport.
If you are a family member of the EU / EEC / Swiss citizen and traveling with him / her, you will need to provide the following documents.
Complete and personally signed visa application form and additional document required in accordance with Article 54th of the residence law

If you received in the last three years, a copy of the Schengen, EU, US, UK, and Canadian visas
1 passport photo
Visa fee
Flight ticket or booking (you will need to provide detailed information about your journey, for example, whether you need to change the terminal at the airport and therefore check in before you travel.)
A visa / residence permit for the real travel country of residence and a copy of the passport page with this authorization or a document indicating that you have the right to enter the country of destination
Proof that you have a real residency in your country of residence (bank statement, payroll)
In order to obtain a transit visa for your travels to Germany, you must apply for the visa service with the travel route and details. You will need to apply for a transit visa at least 30 days before your trip.
If you don't have an official, diplomatic passport and you don't have a legal permit from the Schengen countries, you will need a German transit visa.
Particularly, people with diplomatic passports and official passports of the Republic of Turkey are exempt from transit visa applications. Schengen visas, persons with residence permits in one of the Schengen countries, persons who are citizens of the European Union as a free movement are exempt from German transit visas.
Holders of valid visas and residence certificates issued in accordance with the Schengen agreements are exempted from the transit visa procedure for a maximum period of 5 days.
Germany transit visa procedures aren't different from other visa procedures in Germany. When the German Consulate determines the German transit visa fees, you can complete your transit visa procedures for the fee charged by the Consulate and the visa service fee.
