Hello, you do not need to obtain a Dubai visa unless you exceed 24 hours on your trip to Bangkok with a transfer via Dubai. However, if you make a terminal change, you will need a transit visa. The Dubai transit visa is a visa required for passengers traveling to another country and landing in Dubai Airport, staying in Dubai for more than 24 hours or making a terminal change. At Dubai airport, you may be asked to provide your three-legged flight tickets for your transit flight.
